BT are proud to host ‘Lets Not Go Back to Normal’ a panel discussion exploring race inequality in the top echelons of sport, in Partnership with the community interest company Race Equality Matters who have recently launched the UK’s first ever Race Equality Week.
The global pandemic and Black Lives Matter protests of 2020 have placed the reality of racial inequality on the world stage. Many sports stars, teams and associations have been vocal and visible in their support of race equality, from taking the knee to social posting, however, the decision-making ranks of sport leadership remain predominantly white and male. This action-orientated discussion will seek to answer the question ‘What next? How in 2021 can we turn conversation into meaningful change.’
