Description
At BBC Children in Need (CiN), we act where the need
is greatest and our ambition is to create positive and
lasting change across the UK for the children and
young people who need us most. Together with the
BBC and our partners, we aim to inspire the nation and
unite communities to support us in our work
We are currently seeking to appoint a new Trustee to
our Board. Our Trustees play a vital role in overseeing
the work of the charity and supporting us to create a
positive impact for Children and Young People.
We are particularly interested in those looking for a
new challenge, passionate about our work and with the
following skills and experience:
• Experience in finance, audit, and risk management.
• Experience of leadership within the charitable or
third sector – ideally with knowledge of grantmaking.
• Knowledge and experience of issues affecting
children and young people
• Knowledge and experience in work related to
climate justice and sustainability
We welcome applications from anyone regardless
of their age, disability, ethnicity, heritage, sexuality,
gender and socio-economic background.
For this rolewe are particularly encouraging applications from ethnic minorities and disabled candidates as these
groups are underrepresented within the Board.
BBC Children in Need operates throughout the UK,
and the Charity is seeking to diversify the geographic
make-up of the Board and so would also particularly
welcome applicants from outside of London, including
any of the other countries in the UK.
