Join Kingston University as a Governor – Shape the Future of Higher Education
Kingston University, a leading London University ranked among the top 60 in the UK, is looking for passionate and committed individuals to join our Board of Governors. Known for our progressive approach to education, we are dedicated to enhancing students’ life chances by equipping them with Future Skills essential for success in today’s rapidly evolving workplace. Our ambitious Town House Strategy is transforming education by embedding these crucial skills into our curriculum, ensuring our graduates are well-prepared for the demands of the 21st-century economy.
As a Governor, you will play a key role in shaping the strategic direction of the University, overseeing financial sustainability, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality education. You will work closely with the Senior Leadership Team, contributing your expertise to drive innovation and maintain our TEF Gold-rated teaching standards. This is an exciting time to join Kingston University as we implement a new model of education, embedding Future Skills modules across all undergraduate programmes.
We have retained Green Park to lead the search for individuals who are passionate about higher education and committed to supporting students in achieving their full potential. We are particularly interested at this point in recruiting new governors with experience in human resources; the third sector; the creative industries; and working within a regulator or a regulatory environment but are also open to considering candidates who can offer us expertise and skills in other areas.
Over half of our students identify as Black and minority ethnic and our student population is further diversified by gender, class, sexual orientation, disability, faith and age – almost 50 per cent are mature students. Equality, diversity and inclusion are at the very heart of Kingston University, reflected in our diverse student and staff population, our multi-cultural student societies, our events and our activities to encourage prospective students and create the best study experience for all. We very much encourage applications from candidates who can help us to improve the diversity of our Board.
If you are interested in making a meaningful impact and contributing to the success of our students and institution, we encourage you to contact our executive search partner, Lucy Kythreotis, for an initial, informal conversation: lucy.kythreotis@green-park.co.uk
