The National Theatre (NT) makes theatre that entertains and inspires using its creativity, expertise and unique reach. The NT want to be creative and innovative in how they use data, evaluation and research to tell the story of the NT as a global cultural institution. In creating the role of Director of Data and Insight, the NT is looking to build great data systems, develop its Data & Insight transformation strategy, and importantly put data and insight at the heart of its decision-making. The appointee will develop the data literacy and evaluation culture across the organisation, build and lead a new team and advocate as to how data can help inform decisions and evidence change and impact. Importantly the role will need a talent for engaging across a wide and diverse organisation to demonstrate how data, evaluation and research can be used to support complex business challenges and opportunities.

They are keen to speak to people who share this passion, who combine experience of building successful data functions with a track record in leading culture change around data and insight. You might have built your experience in any sector - key to this role is a gift for helping organisations to better utilise data and insights to tell the story of positive social impact.
