Remuneration: £100,000
The Resilient Water Accelerator (RWA) is seeking a visionary Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead our mission of increasing investment in water resilience to address the growing impacts of climate change. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of water security in emerging economies.
Founded by WaterAid, the RWA focuses on overcoming water security challenges caused by climate change in vulnerable regions. With an initial £11million budget and a dedicated team, the RWA accelerates investment into climate-resilient water projects. As RWA transitions into a wholly owned subsidiary of WaterAid, it is an exciting time for a new CEO to lead the scaling up of our impact.
As CEO, you will guide the RWA through its next phase of growth. You will oversee operations, manage a growing team, and drive fundraising efforts to secure additional investment. You will shape the RWA’s transition into a WaterAid subsidiary; work with the new Board to build governance structures; and foster partnerships that enhance our mission. Your leadership will set the strategic direction, ensuring that the RWA continues to make meaningful changes in water security and climate resilience. You will cultivate partnerships across sectors, including governments, corporations, and philanthropies, to drive impactful programmes in emerging economies. You will guide RWA’s thought leadership at the global level, representing the organisation to key stakeholders.
With substantial leadership experience, preferably in innovative development and climate finance (including private finance), or clean energy, , you have a proven track record of driving large-scale change. You excel in strategic thinking, building relationships, and identifying investment opportunities. Your entrepreneurial spirit will ensure RWA’s growth and long-term success.
At RWA, you will lead a globally distributed, supportive team working towards a common goal: securing a sustainable water future for vulnerable populations worldwide. This is your chance to make a lasting impact at the intersection of water, climate and finance.
