The National Trust protects and cares for places so people and nature can thrive, looking after hundreds of houses and close to a million objects along with vast areas of coastline, countryside and green spaces, for everyone’s benefit. Following wide consultation the Trust has just launched a new strategy, with at its heart three ambitious goals for 2050 that we’ll work towards over the next decade:

·      To restore nature – not just on National Trust land, but everywhere.

·      To end unequal access to nature, beauty and history.

·      To inspire millions more people to care and take action.

The National Trust is now looking for additional trustees to join the board that will lead and oversee the implementation of this ambitious and compelling strategy. We are keen to speak to people across a wide range of skills, including business and change leadership, cultural heritage and partnerships, fundraising and digital technology. We are also looking to strengthen ethnic diversity on the board. What matters is the ability to bring a strategic lens, and to help us represent the breadth of communities we serve.
