The Centre for Evidence & Implementation (CEI) is a global non-profit organisation dedicated to improving social policies and practices through research, evaluation, and implementation science. We are seeking a UK Director to lead our UK and European operations, overseeing strategy, business development, project excellence, and team leadership. Reporting to the CEO, this role involves shaping CEI’s presence in the region, building key partnerships, securing funding, and ensuring high-quality project delivery. You will manage a team of around 15 staff, working closely with global colleagues to drive CEI’s mission while maintaining financial sustainability and operational efficiency. This is a rare opportunity to take on a leadership role in a respected organisation at a pivotal stage of growth.

The ideal candidate is a strategic leader with expertise in research, evaluation, and implementation science, alongside strong experience in business development, stakeholder engagement, and organisational leadership. You will have deep knowledge in at least two key areas (e.g. mental health, social care, education) and a track record of securing funding and delivering impact-driven projects. A confident and collaborative leader, you thrive in a dynamic, non-hierarchical environment, balancing hands-on work with strategic vision. A postgraduate degree in a relevant field is required, along with a passion for evidence-based policymaking and social change.
